Every day at 3:00, kids in Kansas City are running down the hallways of their schools, full of energy and excited to be able to talk to their friends, get some exercise, and get outside. Five minutes later, most of them are strapped in cars, headed home to play games by themselves. But not Bike Club. Every single day, FreeWheels Bike Clubs are excitedly planning their route for the day, digging out honeysuckle stumps, advocating for bike lanes, building trails, fixing bikes and working for their community. Of course, FreeWheels doesn't just hang out with our middle school students all the time. We also teach bike safety skills courses to the entire community, teach 4th and 5th grade students how to ride safely and work with city leaders to help bring our students' plans to fruition. As we wrap up Bike Club season (but not biking season!), we need your help to make 2015 even better! Please consider making an online donation or donating your old bike(s).
