Bike Club Coordinator

Want to empower kids with us?  We are hiring for a part-time Bike Club Coordinator this Spring! Woohoo!

We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven person to help our Bike Club kids reach their full potential this school year, This is a part-time hourly position, approximately 20-30 hrs/wk.  Program times are between 12:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

Lead groups of youth ages 12-18 in mapping, environmental science and community service activities

Work with Executive Director and Program Coordinator to plan special activities and create opportunities for youth leadership

Serve as the main leader of club activities at all program sites assigned

Lead group bike rides with youth from program sites

Ensure safety of all participants in bike rides and community service

Other responsibilities as required by supervising staff

Evaluate programs and collaborate on ways to improve programs and evaluation tools.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old

Prior youth development experience required

Prior experience with bicycling programs encouraged, but not required

Must be comfortable leading bike rides in traffic.

Must be able to ride a bicycle 10-15 miles with youth.

Must be first aid and CPR certified within 30 days of employment

Must be able to pass a background check

Must be able to work as a team with other program staff and supervisor
