Why Bike Club?

We exist to empower kids with bikes. Sometimes that means we get to the smile and hear the laughter when a child rides without training wheels for the first time at a bike rodeo. Sometimes that means we get to be there as students learn to ride safely in "traffic" with their PE classmates.  That has always meant we get to work alongside students repairing bikes for others and learning how to ride safely.

As we grow with our students, that has come to mean that we work with them to make their community safe, to make their community a place where they can ride, or walk, or play or simply exist without fear. Kids want a safe community. We want to give them the opportunity to participate in what that means, and more importantly, to roll up their sleeves (or not, kids aren't very finicky about getting their clothes dirty!) and make it happen. That's what Bike Club is about. Read more about it on the Bike Club page, and please consider joining us or simply supporting our efforts.

  1. I don't think I've ever seen a two paragraph blog post with that many links in it. You're awesome.
